of Trustees Members: Barrett, Cook, Durrett, Payne, and Pittman
Dr. Gene Barrett, a surgeon with the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Jackson, attended Millsaps and graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Patricia Cook of Palm Beach, Fla., combines a career as a professional musician with many charitable activities and projects. She performed at the Inauguration of the 42nd President of the United States. John D. Durrett of Atlanta graduated from Millsaps in 1970 and is the Managing Director of the southeast regional office of McKinsey and Company, an international management consulting firm. Jimmy A. Payne of Ridgeland graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and received his M.B.A. from Mississippi College. He is President of Payne Enterprises in Jackson. Robert Pittman of Dulles, Va., attended Millsaps and was awarded an honorary degree from the college in May 1997. He is founder of MTV and CEO/President of American Online.
