Mardi Gras weekend in Lafayette, Louisiana. Revelers are lining Johnston Street in anticipation of a Friday night parade, one of a number of festive marches leading up to the all-day frenzy of Fat Tuesday. In a modest frame house in a nearby neighborhood, 26-year-old Millsaps graduate R. Reese Fuller pulls out his diatonic accordion as he and his brother Shamus (fiddle) and Shamus’ wife Courtney (guitar) gear up for the celebration with an old-fashioned Cajun jam session. Listening to their traditional music, few would peg Reese and Shamus as pioneers in cyberspace. But their Internet start-up, found at www.louisianaradio.com, is the first audio broadcasting outlet to be programmed exclusively for the web.
