Millsaps Web Team Redesigning Home
Page
The Millsaps College web page has become a key communication device
for internal and external users. As dependence on this dynamic medium continues
to grow, the College has formed a Web Team comprised of college-wide representatives
appointed by their respective vice presidents. Among other improvements,
the team plans to completely redesign the home page by March 1999.
Kevin Russell, Assistant to the President
and Web Team chair, states that the purpose of the team is to continually
review the top levels of the Millsaps site: "As an institution, we are
looking at the web page as another type of publication. We want to assure
that it communicates the desired image for the College and is easy to use."
Meeting biweekly, the team will make policy
recommendations and work closely with Computer Services to implement changes.
In addition to Russell, team members are: Christina Finzel, Public Relations;
John Gaines, Admissions; Larry Horn, Computer Services; Jim Parks,
Library; Jon Peede, Publications; Jim Purser, Academic Computing; Andrew
Royappa, Faculty; David Sneed, Student Affairs; and Susan Womack, Development.
