All across America, "I LIKE IKE" signs are still in the storefront windows, and the people of France have just started waiting for Godot. And maybe in that moment in a small church in north Mississippi, a young boy in the front pew is singing his heart out because music is a thing of joy to him. Maybe he loves to sing because his mother sings on the radio, because his grandfather teaches singing schools in the country, because his father is in the church choir. Maybe time rolls by, he grows up, learns the piano, takes up sports — still singing. And maybe, just maybe, he becomes a teacher of music, and around his voice, college students gather.
Maybe his name is Tim Coker.
