Ginter Chosen
As New Registrar
Judy Ginter, currently Associate Registrar at Wake Forest University,
will become Millsaps’ new Registrar on March 1. She has worked in the Office
of the Registrar at Wake Forest for 12 years and has considerable experience
in guiding the full spectrum of registration, graduation, and the daily
operations of the Office of the Registrar.
Ginter’s colleagues at Wake Forest speak highly
of her technical expertise and her personal qualities: "Ms. Ginter is on
the cutting edge of the implementation and utilization of technology in
higher education. She is also personable and appropriate in her interactions
with people from all ages and stages of life. She knows every aspect associated
with a registrar’s office."
Of special note, Ginter has participated in
the evaluation, testing, and installation of two student record systems;
initiated, designed, and maintained databases that track the academic progress,
compliance to external rules, and graduation rates of students; consulted
with computer personnel to design and implement programs that increase
the efficiency and accuracy of the operations of the Office of the Registrar;
served as the University Athletic Statistician and was responsible for
filing all data for the NCAA, ACC, CFA, and Students Right to Know, and
was second in command of the Wake Forest commencement process.
Ginter received her B.A. in English from Wake
Forest in 1981 and her M.B.A. from the Babcock Graduate School of Management
at Wake Forest in 1996.
