Fraternity Holds
Massive "Pantry Raid"

The Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity collected 20,800 pounds of canned food and $1,500 for the Mississippi Food Network in its annual "Pantry Raid." The Pantry Raid was conducted nationally by Lambda Chi Alpha chapters, with 1.5 million pounds of food donated to charitable use.
Now one of the largest single-day philanthropic events worldwide, the Millsaps chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha established this national food drive 15 years ago and has consistently been among the fraternity’s top collectors. "Lambda Chi Alpha is very proud of the work it has done for Mississippi and for hungry families around the world," says chapter president Scott Maestri.
The annual Pantry Raid is one of many events and programs sponsored by campus organizations for the benefit of the metro Jackson community.
