James E. Bowley

(Ph.D., Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion) is currently Chair of Religious Studies. He teaches courses in biblical studies, Abrahamic traditions, and religion and literature.

Darby K. Ray

(Ph.D.,Vanderbilt University) regularly teaches courses in Christian thought, history and contemporary movements, and the meaning of work. She is the director of the Millsaps Faith and Work Initiative.

Steven G. Smith

(Ph.D., Duke University), a member of both the Religious Studies and Philosophy Departments, works especially in philosophy of religion and the history of religious thought.

Lola Williamson

(Ph.D., University of Wisconsin) specializes in Asian traditions and contemporary North American religions.
