Fire Procedure
- Activate
fire alarm (if alarm has not already been sounded).
- CALL CAMPUS
SAFETY 1234
- In smoke-laden
conditions stay as low as possible (the most clean air is close
to the floor).
- Proceed to
nearest exit.
- Feel all
doors and door knobs before opening, if one of the other is hot, DO NOT OPEN! Proceed to another exit.
- If you are
unable to leave your room, hang a towel or sheet out of the window
to signal firemen or campus safety personal that you are trapped
inside your room.
- After leaving
the building go immediately to your designated area.
- Remain at
your designated area until told by campus safety authorities that
it is safe to return to the building.
