The National Science Foundation's Social and Behavioral Sciences page contains lots of information of interest to sociologists and anthropologists. Of special interest to anthropologists is the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences research page, where you can learn about NSF-sponsored archeological research and access pages for NSF programs in anthropology, including the Cultural Anthropology Program and the Archaeology Program . The Sociology Program's page includes briefings on NSF-funded research, information on grant opportunities, and useful links to other sites.
Content Analysis is a good resource for those doing qualitative analysis of texts and images. In addition to extensive bibliographies, it contains links to providers of software.

The department of Classical Studies at the University of Michigan have  compiled an enormous collection of links to Classics and Mediterranean Archaeological resources

The Social Statistics Briefing Room provides access to current federal statistics on the economy, crime, demography, education, and health.

Bureau of Labor Statistics
For a vast array of statistics on education of all sorts, including longitudinal cohort studies, college graduate studies, comparative information on school districts, access the National Education Data Resource Center. This is part of the U.S. Department of Education and is a free resource.
Visit the  home page of the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, a Federal agency, for data on health related topics, including studies on health care costs and health care delivery systems, as well as syntheses of research on issues such as improving women's health.
