Internship listings for Millsaps students can be found at the College Central Network Website.
Internships allow students to make academic connections with the world of work by providing hands-on, practical experience in a professional setting complementing the career interests and academic coursework.
Internships, whether local or national, generally enable a student to assess interests, talents and skills related to their career choice. As a result, students gain marketable job skills that increase employability.
The Career Center offers an optional internship-for-credit program. Students may enroll in this course receiving semester credit while attending Millsaps College. For more information on this course, please email Tonya Craft or call 601.974.1346.
The faculty of Millsaps College also oversees internships for their academic departments. One particular program that offers in-depth exploration of career values is the Faith and Work Initiative Internship Program. This successful program explores the meaning of work through coursework, internships, mentor programs, and study abroad opportunities.
