Gretchen Blackston, R.N.
Ms. Blackston is the College Nurse over Health Services, and comes to Millsaps with extensive experience. Her most recent employment was at River Oaks Hospital as nursing supervisor and nurse educator. Ms. Blackston has also served as an emergency room nurse, a flight nurse, a staff nurse, and a staff nurse for student health services at a university.

Ms. Blackston lives with her husband Dr. Joe Blackston, an internist and lawyer; her son Walker, who attends St. Andrew's School; and an adopted greyhound.
