Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.

Millsaps College's Campus Ministry Team (CMT) sees its main purpose as establishing an interfaith initiative for the campus community as a whole.
Our mission statement asserts that "... we create inclusive interfaith community at Millsaps College where people of any faith and no faith find support and nourishment for their life journeys. We build interfaith appreciation and cooperation through community engagement." In regards to this mission, CMT envisions a college campus where we grow in our particular faiths or perspectives and where we bridge the gap between people for the good of all within our community and beyond.
We are also advocates of the College's service commitment to K-12 education and the Midtown neighborhood. Through these community engagement efforts we provide opportunities for fellowship and ways for our students, with residents of Midtown, to support each other's journey through life.

We strive to provide opportunities for support and devotion for students of all different backgrounds. Some of these include campus wide worship services, a campus wide care team, and interfaith discussion groups. Some of CMT's signature programs are Project Midtown - a once a semester day of service, Soulfood - a student-led contemporary Christian service that meets twice a month, and the Better Together Campaign - a program started by the Interfaith Youth Core.
If you are interested in worship, discussion of important theological, ethical or social topics, community service, field trips, and/or spiritual growth, then CMT is for you!
