Recruitment
Greek Life

A Note to Prospective Members
We applaud your decision to seek information on the Millsaps College Fraternity & Sorority Community. You have potential to enter the ranks of men and women whose experiences in fraternities and sororities have helped to develop them in many aspects of their life including the areas of friendship, scholarship, leadership and service.
Fraternities (men's organizations) and sororities (women's) are organizations that offer students a community identity with peers who have common interests and goals, while allowing opportunities to develop individuality. It is a values-based support system, a living-learning environment founded upon the principles of friendship, scholarship, leadership and service.
Recruitment Information
Membership in a fraternity or sorority is through a mutual selection process, known as recruitment or rush. Participating in recruitment provides an excellent opportunity to meet people and learn more about the Greek community but in no way requires you to join a chapter. Check out the
2010 Recruitment Brochure (PDF) for more information. Parents can also check out the
2010 Parent's Guide to Greek Life (PDF).
