Prerequisites:
Theatre 1010 or permission of the instructor.
This course covers dramatic theory, criticism,
theatrical practices from the Primitive origins
through the Renaissance and the Asian Theatre.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
When students
complete this course they will be able to:
1. identify
the significant names, dates, terms, and events
studied
2. discuss production techniques, plays, playwrights,
theatre buildings, acting styles, and audiences
3. identify and discuss themes as well as the
dramatic structural elements of the plays studied.
