ASSIGNMENTS

Projects: You have 5 projects to complete this semester.

A. Build a scale model of a standard Flat (100 pts)
B. Build a scale model of a standard Platform and leg it in a prescribed manner. (100 pts)
C. Build a scale model of a standard Stair and leg it in a prescribed manner. (100 pts)
D. Match a color chip using primary and secondary paint colors; demonstrate 4 painting techniques (50 pts)
E. transfer a scaled drawing to your model flat and paint it. (150 pts)

 

Cards: 20 pts each, 100 pts total

Annotated reading cards, submitted for each play and kept in a notebook. Annotations are to include, but are not limited to:

1. Your name, play's title and author,
2. genre, theme, and period, number of acts/scenes, and settings.
3. Major characters with a brief description; numbers of men and women.
4. Synopsis including dramatic structural elements, point of attack, crises, climax, and denouement.
5. Your critical evaluation of the text and scenic requirements
necessary to produce the play.
