The groups will also include current students to answer your questions and talk about their experience as a Major and why they chose to attend Millsaps.

Enhanced Housing Program FAQs

I’ve already submitted my deposit. Do I qualify for the enhanced housing program?
Yes! Just submit the first-year housing program application before April 1.

Am I guaranteed enhanced housing in New South Hall if I apply?
Housing in New South is limited and will be chosen based on the applications received by April 1. The competitiveness of the program will be based on the number of applications received for the limited available spots.

When will I know if I am chosen for first-year housing in New South Hall?
Applicants will be notified of decisions by mid-April.

Must I submit an enrollment deposit submitted before April 1 to be considered for this enhanced housing program?
Yes. Only students who have both deposited and completed the special first-year housing application will be considered for the program.

Will my housing rate in New South Hall be guaranteed for subsequent years?
This special introductory rate is not guaranteed past the 2023-2024 school year. We will encourage you to stay in New South Hall for sophomore year if you enjoy the experience!

Can you tell me more about the housing experience in New South Hall?
Sure! New South is suite-style, which means you have a roommate who lives in the same room with you. Your roommate and you will share a connected bathroom with the two students living in the adjacent room, so a total of four people share the bathroom. The hall is co-ed by suite, which means if you are female you will live in a suite with other females, but you may have suites occupied by males on your hall. Females and males do not share a bathroom. New South Hall has three floors. First-year students will live on either the first or second floor.
