Dear Faculty and Staff,
The Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) will switch over to the WordPress Content Management System (CMS) this Wednesday night beginning around 7 p.m. The process will go through the overnight hours. This will mean the website may be down for a short period of time, but this inconvenience is minimal compared to the benefits the community will experience from having its site on a CMS, including an enhanced look and feel and the ability more quickly make and manage content and updates. You can expect an update from OMC after launch regarding web enhancements.
After the site transition (but by no later than this Friday) the Office of Marketing and Communications will begin publishing the following data on a daily basis within the COVID-19 website:
- Faculty and staff:
- Number of positive confirmed cases on a daily basis plus a cumulative total
- Students:
- Number of positive confirmed cases on a daily basis plus a cumulative total
- Number of students isolated on campus on a daily basis plus a cumulative total
- Number of students isolated off campus on a daily basis plus a cumulative total
- Number of students quarantined on campus on a daily basis plus a cumulative total
- Number of students quarantined off campus on a daily basis plus a cumulative total
These data will not include personally identifying information.
Also specific to the COVID-19 web pages: if you have COVID-19 symptoms or if you have tested positive, visit the COVID-19 Health Decision Tree for direction on next steps as well as to find links to the appropriate reporting forms. Please note: in order for the college to respond quickly and maintain appropriate tracking, please submit your information via the forms found on this page versus emailing or calling Human Resources and/or your supervisor.
The Office of Human Resources is updating the return to work guidelines; a revised version of those guidelines including a list of changes will be sent to the community soon.
Finally, if you haven’t already done so, please download and use the #CampusClear app from the Apple Store or Google Play and begin using on a daily basis.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we begin this most unusual but exceptionally important semester. If you have any questions regarding the website or any information on the COVID-19 webpages, please contact me directly.
Thanks!
Annie Mitchell
