An individual has symptoms of COVID

An individual tests positive for COVID-19

  • The attendee must be off-campus within two hours of receiving a positive result
  • If the attendee can’t be off-campus within two hours, it is the camp’s responsibility to arrange off-campus arrangements until the attendee can travel home
  • The camp/conference will be charged a $125.00 cleaning for each room an attendee has slept in.

An individual receives a negative test

  • The attendee can interact as usual with the community.

Returning to campus after a positive test

  • Attendees can return to campus and normal activity after 10 days from the onset of symptoms (symptomatic) or from the day of testing (asymptomatic), with either of these events counting as day zero.

Guidelines for close contact exposure

  • Should an attendee test positive, each camp/conference director must identify individuals with whom the attendee has had contact within the last 48 hours of symptoms onset/testing, including Millsaps students/faculty/staff. Close contacts must leave the campus immediately. Close contacts must get tested between days 5 to 8 after contact or as soon as symptoms develop and must continue to quarantine off campus for 10 days even if the test is negative. If the test is positive, the individual may not return to the camp on campus. The camp/conference will be charged a $125.00 cleaning for each room in which an attendee has slept.

Reporting

Camp/conference directors must report positive test results of attendees to the director of conference services as soon as they are received. This ensures the safety of our community and that each room in which the attendee with the positive test result has slept can be sanitized quickly. An individual that tests positive for COVID-19 must be off campus within two hours (see “an individual tests positive for COVID-19” above.)

Guidance on COVID-19 related scenarios

For camps/conferences not utilizing residential spaces:

Any attendee experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or who was recently identified as a close contact of someone who had COVID-19 within the last 48 hours is not allowed on campus until a negative test is received.
