Award-winning journalist and author David J. Dennis Jr. will discuss his new book, “The Movement Made Us” (Harper 2022), in conversation with distinguished journalist and MacArthur Fellow Jerry Mitchell, co-founder of the Mississippi Center for Investigative Reporting. The event, which will take place on Thursday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m., is sponsored by the Millsaps Visiting Writers Series in partnership with the Eudora Welty Foundation and the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Campus Center at Millsaps College.
The event is free and open to the public and will take place in the James and Madeleine McMullan Lecture Hall, Room 122 of the Selby and Richard McRae Christian Center on the Millsaps campus. A reception and book signing, courtesy of Lemuria Books, will follow.
