As a certified public accountant, I specialize in tax and enjoy teaching introduction to accounting classes. Proficient in instructional technology, I use a variety of methods to engage and challenge my students both inside and outside the classroom. For example, my tax students volunteer and prepare individual income tax returns in the community through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA).
My career began at Arthur Andersen LLP in the tax department. I later continued my work in federal and state income taxes in the telecommunication industry by joining Telapex Inc. (parent company of CSpire) as a tax manager. I combine my passion for accounting, tax and teaching by bringing these experiences to the classroom.
