Education
Bachelor of science from Millsaps College, with a double major in biology and psychology

Hobbies/Interests
I enjoy working out and playing tennis in my free time, as I was a member of the Millsaps women’s team all four years at Millsaps. I also enjoy spending time with my mini Australian Shepherd, Lily, and going on walks and runs.

Favorite thing about Millsaps
My favorite thing about Millsaps is the sense of community – no matter where you are across the campus, you will know someone. The conversations and excitement across campus is contagious and is what drove me to be a student here.

Favorite activity in Jackson
Where to even begin? Coming from a large city like Houston, I didn’t know what to expect about Jackson, but it has exceeded all my expectations. Jackson has some of the best restaurants and night life compared to other cities. There are always fun musical performances, festivals, and exciting things happening all throughout the city. Jackson never ceases to amaze me!

Advice for incoming students
Take every opportunity that surrounds you! Millsaps is a school that will give back to you in so many ways, whether it’s academics, friends, athletics, or connections after graduation, but you have to be willing to put yourself out there. The opportunities this college has to offer are endless.

Random/fun fact
I spent my senior year helping Dr. Hendrixson with his arachnoid research. I got to go on a really incredible trip where I captured my very own tarantula; she is now my pet, and her name is Rufus.
