Application Process for Scholarships and Loans

MBA and Master of Accountancy students who receive scholarships and/or loans are required to submit a Application for Graduate Scholarships and Federal Direct Loans each term they will be enrolled in their respective programs.

The process is below:

  • Submit the Application for Graduate Scholarships and Federal Direct Loans form prior to each term(s) you plan to enroll.
    • There are different forms dependent on which terms you plan to enroll. Please submit each form prior to enrollment for that term:Fall and Spring terms
      Winter session
      Summer term

      Please complete each form as accurately as possible to include each scholarship you have been awarded and the amount for each award, your anticipated credits of enrollment for each term, and the amount of student loan monies you anticipate to receive. Once completed, email the signed application to the Office of Financial Aid.

  • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you plan to accept Federal Direct Loans. Submit the 2022–2023 FAFSA to apply for aid for academic terms from fall 2022 through summer 2023. Students may request an FSA ID at https://fsaid.ed.gov to use as an electronic signature on the FAFSA.
    • Complete a Master Promissory Note for Federal Direct Loan. If you did not have a loan at Millsaps during the prior academic year, log on to http://www.studentloans.gov/mpn/ with your FSA ID and complete the appropriate Master Promissory Note. Unsubsidized loans and graduate PLUS loans require separate Master Promissory Notes.
    • Complete online entrance counseling for Federal Direct Loan. If you have not previously received a Direct Loan at Millsaps College, log on to https://studentaid.gov/app/counselingInstructions.action?counselingType=entrance with your FSA ID and complete online entrance counseling.
