Reading, cooking, wine tasting and visiting wineries. It’s been a minute, but I love roller-blading. I also love binge-watching a good show – Ted Lasso is a current favorite.
Favorite thing about Millsaps
The gardens. I love taking walks around campus at lunch time and detouring into the beauty of the two large gardens on campus. They are a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city and a great place to come up with new ideas and relax.
Favorite activity in Jackson
Visiting The District. Our family loves to have dinner outside at Sal & Mookie’s or Fine & Dandy. There are lots of great people-watching opportunities and there is always a fun atmosphere.
Advice for incoming students
If you’re leaving home, be prepared to be a little homesick. Most people are at first and it’s totally normal! Our entire community is ready to help you with the transition and before you know it, you’ll have a group of friends who feel like extended family.
Random/fun fact
I don’t have any biological cousins (but some pretty fantastic step-cousins!). Since my family has always been small, it’s been really important to me to nurture friendships that have turned into family.
