What to Do If You Test Positive for COVID-19
If you have COVID-19, you can spread the virus to others. Regardless of vaccination status, you should isolate from others when you have COVID-19, wear a mask and avoid contact with people who are at high risk of getting very sick.
- Isolate from others for a minimum of five (5) days AND until you are fever free for 24 hours and your symptoms are improving.
- Faculty and Staff should notify their immediate supervisor of their need to isolate and contact their primary care provider if additional assistance is needed for testing, treatment or to confirm a return to work date.
- Students should notify their professors that they will be absent from class.
- Students are strongly encouraged to isolate at home for their own comfort. If a residential student is unable to isolate at home, they must complete the Student Reporting Form to identify an isolation plan.
- During the isolation period, students are not permitted to attend class in person, participate in clubs/organizations/sports, eat in the Caf/Reuben’s, visit the HAC and other similar locations, to avoid transmission of the virus.
- Wear a mask through day 10 of testing positive.

COVID-19 Vaccination
Vaccinations against SARS-CoV-2 virus are currently the best way to ensure the health and safety of our communities. Millsaps College strongly recommends that all members of our community, especially individuals with health conditions that place them at greater risk of serious illness, be vaccinated and remain current with boosters.
On Campus COVID-19 Testing
Students should contact the Wesson Health Center at [email protected] or by calling (601) 972-1207 during regular clinic hours to learn more about testing options.
