Opportunities abound for graduates with teacher licensure. The Education Department receives numerous requests for qualified teachers, as well as announcements for internship, workshop and job fair opportunities. As we receive these notifications, we will add them to this site. We also post job openings on the bulletin boards in the Education Department office, and on the second floor board in Sullivan Harrell Hall.

Education America Network (EAN) www.educationamerica.net
EAN is one of the premier education employment networks for the United States. Education America Network users are able to find information and employment opportunities via our website's easy-to-use interface.

Many of the features of our site do not require job seeker registration. The services that do require registration are directed towards providing employers information about the job seeker, such as resumes applications, certifications, credentials, etc. Registration is only required to ensure subscribing employers have access to your searchable information; information the job seeker provides.  Please note: Confidentiality and the highest level of security are two of our top priorities.

The following are examples of services available to job seekers via the EAN without registration:

  • Browse Jobs
    Quickly and easily browse job opportunities listed by regions and/or states.
  • Search Jobs
    Locate opportunities that match the experience, qualifications, and interests of the job seeker.
  • Apply to Jobs
    Each job posting provide details on how to apply to jobs posted, e.g. required documentation, where/how to submit documentation, qualifications needed to apply, etc.

The following are examples of services accessible to individuals registered with the EAN. There is absolutely NO COST to register or use the following services:

  • Resume Upload
    Job Seekers can upload their own resume documents or fill out EAN's form resume. This resume will then be made available to subscribing employers to search and view.
  • Documentation Upload
    To ensure registered job seekers can submit a complete application package to employers; they can upload their own cover letter(s), resumes, credentials/certifications, etc. to attach to any application via EAN's "Apply Online" function.
  • JobBot Notification
    By registering, job seekers can create a "jobbot". A jobbot is an email notification system whereby job seekers can select the type of job they are looking for and, when new jobs that meet the selected criteria are added to EAN's database, job seekers will receive an email listing the new jobs.

 

NASA Educator Resource Center Announces Fall Workshops
The NASA Educator Resource Center (ERC) at Stennis Space Center announces professional development workshops for teachers for Fall 2006. K-12 teachers can receive CEUs for these free workshops. Home school educators are welcome too! Topics include physical science, life science, biology, mathematics, technology and much more. Workshops are available for all grade ranges and are held on-site at Stennis Space Center. Visit the Stennis Education Web site for more information about the workshops. Zoo Education Internship
This newly created six week internship will focus on the Zoo's After School Program, and will combine reading, mathematics, science, and arts disciplines to enhance and maximize the education of local youth. This position's primary responsibility will be to the After School Program, but the intern may assist with other Education Department projects. View complete announcement for additional information.

Part-time Employment for the Creative Learning Centers: Mississippi Behavior Clinic
TCLC: MS Behavior Clinic Is seeking part-time employees to serve as both at home- and clinic-based therapists in one-on-one therapy for children with learning and language delays.
