Olin Multimedia Lab Policies and Operating Procedures

Please read the following rules carefully. Disregarding these regulations will result in an Honor Code violation.

1. Lab may be used ONLY under one of the following conditions:

  • under supervision of a Faculty Member who has card access
  • when a room monitor is present.
2. Do not tamper with, alter, copy, or delete any files on the hard drive or network drive which are not owned by you.

3. Do not tamper with, alter, copy, or delete any System files, including System and Windows configuration files.

4. Handle CD-Rom carriages and drives with care.

5. You may save files to the hard drive ONLY if your course instructor has received approval from the Multimedia Lab Manager. A separate subdirectory must be created for the files.

6. Backup of the hard drives must be approved by the Multimedia Lab Manager upon recommendation from your course instructor.

7. No food or drink is permitted in the multimedia lab.


Multimedia Development Lab [OH103] Policies and Procedures

1. Use of the development lab must be approved and scheduled by the Multimedia Lab Manager. NO unauthorized access to the lab is allowed.

2. The Policies 2-7 listed above for the Multimedia Student Lab also hold true for the Development Lab.

3. If you don't know how, don't! Ask for assistance.

4. In order to use the digital cameras and any other major equipment located in OH103, equipment mucst be reserved advance by a faculty member or student in a Multimedia class. To reserve the equipment, the student or faculty member must e-mail the Multimedia Lab manager (currently FARRIAB). The equipment can also be reserved by filling out the form located at: /keck/request.htm The reservations for the equipment are listed at:
/keck/schedule.html
