The Millsaps Pre-medical Advisory Committee is a vital resource for students interested in medicine, dentistry, osteopathy, optometry, podiatry, or veterinary medicine, providing academic guidance as well as the professional evaluations and recommendations highly valued by pre-professional schools. For the past 10 years, over two-thirds of the Millsaps students applying to medical school have been accepted. Committee members work individually with students to customize any Millsaps major program to fit their particular needs, and interests while meeting specific professional program course requirements. While many pre-medical students opt for majors in the sciences, Millsaps graduates with degrees in fields ranging from English to music to sociology-anthropology have gone on to earn medical degrees.
