STERLING, Va. – Winners of nine-straight games
for the first time since the 2000-01 SCAC Championship season and owning
a 12-1 record overall entering tonight's game versus the University of
Dallas, D3hoops.com released its Top 25 Poll this afternoon with Millsaps
entering the poll at No. 23 and league-nemesis Centre College landing
at No. 20.
The Majors are off to their best start in the Tim Wise era and are seeking
their first 10-game winning streak since the 1995-96 championship season.
That season, Millsaps started the year at 14-1 and ended at 22-5 overall
with a loss in the second round of the NCAA Tourny.
As a team, Millsaps is leading the SCAC in assists (220), turnover margin
(+8.08), 3-point field goals made (116) and assist/turnover ratio,
while ranking second in scoring margin (+10) and steals (139).
