MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- In
exclusive voting by the head coaches of the Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference (SCAC), and for the second consecutive
year, DePauw University senior forward Liz Bondi was selected
as the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Year and
her head coach Kris Huffman was named SCAC Coach-of-the-Year.
Easily a second
or third team all-conference selection, sophomore forward LaReina
Adams was snubbed from the list and received Honorable
Mention recognition.
Below is a
list of Adams’ accomplishments:
LaReina Adams, So., F, 5-8, Ridgeland, Miss.
• Started in 22 of 23 games (sat out with injury)
• Led the SCAC in double-doubles (11)
• Led the SCAC in rebounding (10.8 rpg)
• Ranked 11th in the SCAC in scoring (13.0 ppg)
• Scored in double figures in 19 of 23 games
• Had a season and career-high 19 rebounds vs Rhodes
• Had a season and career-high 24 points against Rust
• Also had 25 steals and 22 assists
