A physical game came down to two free throws by senior guard Jillian Compton with four seconds remaining. She hit them both and the Lady Majors (3-3 1-0) won their first SCAC contest in 2004 67-64.

Leslie Frese was at the line after being fouled hard with nine seconds left to play, but she missed both free throws. the bounce off the rim was tipped around and fell into the hands Millsaps guard Kelsey McKnight, who got it out to Compton.

Miranda Rosar dominated inside and picked up 22 points and eight rebounds and Compton finished with 12. Frese had nine points and six rebounds and McKnight finished with six and six

The Lady Majors have one more game before the Christmas break on Dec. 11 against LSU-Shreveport at 5 p.m. in the Hangar Dome.
