STERLING, Va. - After becoming only the fourth player
in school history to return a kickoff for a touchdown and breaking
a school
record for kick return yards in a game with 205, senior
WR/KR Chris
Jackson
has
been named
to the d3football.com Team of the Week for games played the weekend
of Sept. 8-9.
Jackson returned six kicks for 205 yards, including an electrifying
99-yard kickoff return in the first quarter of a tough loss to
Louisiana College, 41-38.
He becomes the first player to return
a kickoff for a touchdown since Mike McKenzie did it in 1996
against Rhodes College and also breaks a
42-year old record set by Jerry Drane against Sewanee in 1964 for
total return yards.
