SALEM,
Va. – Prior to the kickoff
at Stagg Bowl XXXV between national powerhouse Mount Union
and
UW-Whitewater, D3football.com announced its 2007 All-Americans,
complete with 100 names. After landing on the
All-South Region First Team
a week
ago,
senior
DT Casey Younger was named an All-American
Honorable Mention, becoming the fourth overall selection
in Millsaps history.
It marked the ninth annual D3football.com All-American team
and second consecutive year a Millsaps name was represented
on the team, with Phenix City, Ala., return specialist Chris
Jackson becoming the first First Team selection in Majors
history
last year.
Younger, a 6-foot-1, 260-pound senior from Vicksburg continues
to add to his postseason accolades that include SCAC Co-Defensive
Player of the Year, All-SCAC First Team, D3football.com All-South
Region First Team and Jackson TD Club Most Valuable
Senior. Honors from Football Gazette have yet to be released.
