MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Lady Majors fell to perennial national tournament participant Rhodes by a final match of 9-0. This brings the Lady Majors record to 4-10, 0-1.
Katie Anderson and Beth Piraino played a close 8-2 match at #1 doubles but lost to Colleen Forsyth and Allison Tinney. Mia Cowgill and Allisa Vincent fell 9-0 at #2 doubles. To round out the doubles mathc, Leslie Frese and Beth Sadler fell 8-1 at #3.
The Lady Majors down 3-0, lost soon after with Mia Cowgill losing 6-3, 6-0 and Allisa Vincent losing 6-1, 6-0. Leslie Frese lost 6-0, 6-0 and things didn't get too much better for the Majors from there.
Katie Anderson had the match of the day for the Lady Majors in a losing effort to Allison Tinney 6-1, 6-1. Beth Sadler made it 8-0 and Beth Piraino had the best chance to get in the win column with a close 6-4, 6-3 loss.
