As you may know, archaeology is the study of past human behavior.
What did people do in past times, and why?

In fact, such questions are asked daily in many of the academic departments at Millsaps College, but in particular in the Departments of History, Classical Studies, Religious Studies and Sociology-Anthropology.
In a jungle in Yucatan, Mexico, students and faculty from Millsaps excavate remains of the city of Kiuic, seeking to explain the fall of the Mayan kings.
In the hills of Mallakastra, Albania, at the city of Apollonia, students and faculty from Millsaps explore the reasons for Greek colonization of "barbarian" lands.
