Millsaps College is extremely close to becoming the first "All-Steinway School" in Mississippi, a very special and important designation for any college music department.
As stated on the Steinway website, becoming an All-Steinway School demonstrates "a commitment to excellence by providing students and faculties with the best equipment possible for the study of music. That is why the only pianos owned by the institutions listed here (see website) - from the practice room to the recital hall - are designed by Steinway & Sons."
You now have the opportunity to help us with our cause by purchasing some of our slightly-used, NON-Steinway instruments. Although Millsaps already had one of the finest collection of pianos in the region, our recent purchase of new Boston (Steinway-designed) upright pianos positions us for the title of "Committed to becoming an All-Steinway School" once we sell some of our non-Steinway/Boston instruments.
