“This annual event is a great way to enjoy a round of golf and raise money for our scholar athletes,” said Vernon King, tournament organizer and director of development at Millsaps. “The tournament will bring together alumni, students, faculty and friends of all golfing levels for a little friendly competition.”
All proceeds benefit the Millsaps College M-Club, a volunteer organization comprising alumni, parents, and friends, whose sole purpose is to enhance the athletic experience of our scholar athletes
A native of Amory, Edge was named the City of Jackson Women’s Champion 13 times, State Senior Women’s Champion once, State Amateur Runner-Up five times, low amateur in LPGA events twice and Shady Oaks Club Champion 20 times. She coached the Millsaps Majors men’s golf team for 28 years including back to back Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in 1992 and 1993.
