1:30 p.m. Plenary Session in AC Recital Hall. Welcome and announcements address Reflections on an Undescribable Art - Being a Composer Judith Lang Zaimont.

Preparing Zaimont's music for concert

3:30 p.m. Songs of Sappho. Paula Saffier, Classics Professor, Butler Portrayal of Greek woman - Sappho
5:00 p.m. Fifth Hour Concert by Millsaps Singers/Chamber Singer. Music by Women Composers directed by Tim Coker.
8:00 p.m. Stanislav Ioudenitch, 2001 Gold Medal Winner in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in concert - a part of World Performance Series. Judith Zaimont's piece, Impronta Digitale, was performed by Stanislav Ioudenitch during the competition. Sponsored by Thalia Mara Arts International Foundation.

2:00 p.m. Sir Georg Solti - The Last Superconductor. Presenter Marilyn Herring, Millsaps alum and former librarian for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
3:00 p.m. The Marriage of Creativity and Reality. A conversation with the composers and local businesswoman.
7:30 p.m. Concert of Music by Women Composers I. Charge of $5 each for those not registered for conference or not affiliated with Millsaps.
Reception following the concert honoring performers, composers, and area women artists whose work will be featured in the Millsaps Art Gallery Exhibition.
