Give the gift of learning!
There is a fun class available at Millsaps College for all types
of interests.
Millsaps College Community
Enrichment Series is offering holiday gift certificates through
Dec. 22. Most of these fun, noncredit classes for adults will
begin the week of Jan. 26. More than 74 classes in art, music, business,
personal development, language and literature, fitness, computers,
dance, home and garden will be offered.
Some of the more popular
classes include The Wines of Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino,
taught by Dr. Ken Griffin, who teaches a different wine class each
series, social (ballroom) dancing, which is at In Step Dance Studio
in the Quarter, watercolor painting classes (offered at three different
times) taught by Laurel Schoolar, pottery/ceramics, taught by Tom
Morrison, and beginning photography, offered two different nights,
taught by Kay Holloway. Tai chi, pilates, belly dance and yoga are
also very popular classes.
There is no homework,
there are no tests, just interesting new things to learn in these
classes. No prerequisites are required for most of the courses.
Millsaps faculty, staff, and community professionals teach these
enrichment courses; most are held on the campus.
