 Millsaps
played host this week to an environmental nomad. Nick Algee, a student
Sierra Club representative and Associated Colleges of the South
Environmental Delegate, cruised on campus Tuesday in a hybrid-electric
Toyota Prius, one of the most fuel-efficient cars on today's roads.
Funded by the Associated Colleges of
the South (ACS), Algee visited Millsaps as part of a summer tour
of the 16 ACS member schools. The tour, designed to raise environmental
awareness and encourage participation in environmental issues, ended
July 24 in Birmingham, Ala.
During Algee's visit to Millsaps, he
met with college administrators to discuss current environmental
initiatives on campus as well as plans for the future.
