REQUIREMENTS
The
class
will
meet
two
hours
a
week
for
group
instruction.
Each
student
will
be
responsible
for
teaching
one
student
not
currently
enrolled
in
vocal
study.
A
journal
must
be
kept
of
this
private
instruction
which
should
last
from
the
beginning
of
October
until
the
end
of
the
semester.
One
thirty
minute
lesson
a
week
should
be
taught.
The
professor
will
observe
two
additional
sessions
which
will
be
taught
by
the
vocal
pedagogy
student.
Each
vocal
pedagogy
student
will
be
responsible
for
making
a
presentation
to
the
voice
class
which
meets
from
3:00
to
4:00
p.m.
on
Mondays.
During
the
semester
each
student
will
read,
write
a
review,
and
make
a
presentation
of
two
separate
articles
pertaining
to
vocal
pedagogy
for
the
vocal
pedagogy
class.
One
of
these
may
be
used
for
the
Monday
presentation,
if
desired.
Each
student
will
review
and
report
on
a
book
dealing
with
vocal
pedagogy
in
the
Millsaps
library.
The
text
must
be
approved
by
the
professor.
These
reports
will
be
presented
in
multiple
copies
to
the
pedagogy
class.
A
bibliography
of
texts
dealing
with
vocal
pedagogy
in
the
Millsaps
library
will
be
due
by
mid-semester.
The
format
should
be
that
used
by
Dr.
Ware
in
his
text.
