Special opportunities are available to students through our affiliation with professional performance groups.

A close relationship exists between Millsaps College and professional performance organizations in the metropolitan Jackson area. The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and New Stage Theatre afford special opportunities for students and faculty.

New Stage Theatre
A special pre-internship and internship program with New Stage Theatre gives theatre students an opportunity to immerse themselves in a professional theatre atmosphere while they are undergraduates.

The Spring 2006 performance of Francis Poulenc's Gloria (with the MS Chorus and the Mississippi College Singers) is an example of the kind of professional collaboration the Millsaps Singers often undertake with The Mississippi Symphony.
