READING AND LISTENING ASSIGNMENTS

Before coming to each class meeting, you are responsible for:

  • the Announcements Page
  • the assigned reading in Bonds
  • the assigned listening and score study in the anthology
  • the assigned Weiss/Taruskin readingany assigned supplemental reading o listening, found on the of this class web site

Listening assignments will be given for almost every class. Study the music and score in such a way that you can recognize excerpts 1) by ear with the score in front of you, 2) by ear only, and 3) by observation of the score alone.
