Two Majors Chosen
All-Region in Soccer After Millsaps finished its 1998 season with a 9-9-2 record, two men’s soccer players were honored by the American Soccer Coaches Association of America as members of the All-South Region team. Marc Smith, a senior midfielder from Tallahassee, Fla., was chosen as a second team All-South Region selection despite missing the last six games of the season with an injury. Todd Kastner, a junior defender from Carrenco, La., was honored as a second team All-South Region selection by the coaches association. The transfer from Belhaven College helped solidify a Millsaps defense that only allowed an averaged of two goals per game on the season.
