Channel 18 at Millsaps College is a student run television broadcast. We provide an opportunity for students to work in a broadcast environment allowing for career and creative experience. Channel 18's broadcasts are to inform, entertain, create a dialogue and expand the College's liberal arts learning experience

Purpose

• Allow students a means to communicate original broadcasting and related programs daily on Channel 18.
• Support and advance the Student Body Association, registered student organizations, collegiate athletics, College departments and services, and College sanctioned and community events.
• Generate original student shows to allow students to have a creative control on expression their ideas and creations and provide programming for Channel 18.
• Provide blockbuster and student orientated commercial broadcasts for entertainment and educational purposes.
• Allow students interested in the television, promotion, creative writing, music and multimedia the opportunity to gain experience in those areas and related areas with access to people and equipment. Giving them the opportunity to understand how to operate equipment, the procedures to creating a show, and broadcasting on a television station.
• Provide a learning environment for the production of original programming, use of various equipments related to taped productions, functioning in work groups, and developing successful work skills.
• Contribute to the campus discussion and expression of ideas.
