Dr. Helen Ott Marshall will present the Summers Lecture on “Affirmation and Accountability: The Imago Dei as a Resource for Religious Peace-Building.” This event is free and open to the public, and will be held in the McMullan Lecture Hall in the Selby & Richard McRae Christian Center on the campus of Millsaps College. It will also be livestreamed on the Millsaps College Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Following Dr. Marshall’s lecture, a panel discussion will be held featuring Dr. Louwanda Evans, associate professor of sociology and director of African-American Studies at Millsaps; Dr. Patrick Hopkins, professor of philosophy and the Jennie Carlisle Golding Chair in Philosophy at Millsaps; and Dr. Kurt Thaw, professor of psychology at Millsaps.
